He has studied aerospace engineering in both Morocco and France, and has also worked in both countries. His current job? Assembling plastic toys. When Elomari first moved to Canada, he sent out his CV to a number of companies. “I applied for many jobs at Bombardier and Air Canada, and I never even got a reply,” he told The Gazette newspaper in Montreal. “They could have at least called.” Elomari’s French qualifications were accepted by potential employees in Canada, but he says he was told constantly that he lacked relevant local work experience. “I had so many interviews and there’s always an excuse – you don’t speak English, you have a foreign diploma, you have no Canadian experience,” he says. “How can you get Canadian experience if you don’t work?” Elomari is now studying for a
